Accidentally Deleted Garageband Mac

Remo Recover is the ideal third party application to retrieve deleted / lost songs in GarageBand, because it is capable of restoring in all track loss circumstances with ease. Its highly sophisticated photo recovery algorithms search entire drive for deleted tracks in very short span of time. Jun 26, 2007 I recently deleted all my Garageband files and emptied the trash by mistake, and I spent ALL YESTERDAY trying to find software to recover it. I spent $100 for Data Rescue 2, which I thought would work, but after talking to their customer service i was informed that DR2 is incapable of recovering 'packaged files', hence Garageband. Pick a “Location” to search for the deleted GarageBand files. Then hit the “Next” button. Pick the “File type” which will be “Audio” in this case and click “Scan” to initiate the scanning process. If the simple “Scan” functionality is unable to find your deleted files. Step 1: Run Stellar Mac Data Recovery and toggle-on ‘ Audio’ and click ‘ Next ’. Step 2: Next, select your Mac hard drive and click ‘ Scan ’. Step 3: The software starts scanning the media for recoverable file. Step 4: After scanning is complete, preview the files from the list generated.

Did you ever run Time Machine? Even if the backup drive was not attached, may GarageBand in an older backup.

I still have my startup disks.

Check the second installer disk with the bundled applications. Are the iLife installers there for GarageBand , iPhoto, etc? Then try to reinstall from disk.

Is your profile signature still valid? Mac OS X (10.6.8)? Then you could install GarageBand 6.0.5. If your system installer disks have an older version, install that version, then try to update using the support page with the updates:
